We are delighted to share details of our Open Event and subsequent opening mornings.
Open Event

Open Mornings
Our main Open Event will be followed by a series of Open Mornings when families can come into the school and get a real sense of life at OPGS. These are:
Tuesday 8th October 2024 09:00 – 11:00
Wednesday 9th October 2024 09:00 – 11:00
Friday 11th October 2024 09:00 – 11:00
Tuesday 15th October 2024 09:00 – 11:00
Wednesday 16th October 2024 09:00 – 11:00
There is no need to book in advance, and as on our Open Morning, carparking will be available on our school hardcourt. Our best ambassadors and most recent students to join the school, the current Year 7, will be your guides.

Open Evening
We welcome prospective Sixth Form pupils and their parents to our annual Open Evening which will take place on Tuesday 10th December 2024. Guests will hear from the Sixth Form Team, tour the school and meet staff and prefects in subject areas.
In addition to this, we have two Open Mornings in December when prospective applicants can visit lessons and see the school as it is on a working day.
For students who apply to OPGS Sixth Form, there are two Taster Days in June/July. Students will follow a Sixth Form timetable in their chosen subjects and meet their future classmates and teachers. In 2024, prospective students were given the opportunity to spend the second day in a university setting and work on a small project to sharpen their skills and build relationships before joining us in September.
