At OPGS, we hold firm on our responsibility to deliver a broad and balanced curriculum, an exceptional standard of teaching and learning and a wider range of extra-curricular opportunities. We have high standards of behaviour and our pupils are ‘polite and courteous,’ contributing significantly to our consistently positive learning environment.
It is a real honour to be the Headteacher of this magnificent school. I, and every staff member, have high aspirations for every young person that attends our school. These high expectations are demonstrated through a broad and challenging curriculum, exceptional standards in regards to behaviour and attitudes and a commitment to delivering a wide range of extra-curricular and enrichment experiences. We are well known for our outstanding level of pastoral support and care. Our young people are well supported with their personal development but also challenged academically so that they can achieve to the best of their ability. Our outcomes at GCSE and A Level are exceptional and allow OPGS students to acquire the qualifications and skills necessary to take the next steps in their own personal journey.
Please contact the school if you would like to visit us and see for yourself.

Good Luck to all of our Year 11 students who begin their GCSE examinations tomorrow. What a fantastic morning we had celebrating your five years with us and of course finishing off our Leavers' Breakfast and Presentations with shirt signing. Your applause for Mr Devonald who has supported you all for four years as Director of Study summed up how much of a community we are here at OPGS. We know that your are going to give everything to your GCSE examinations and are here to support you all the way. See you tomorrow!

Congratulations to the U13 football team who were victorious this weekend in the Kent Messenger Shield Final. This is an outstanding achievement and we are so proud of this cohort. Well done Year 8! Thanks to the KSFA for another exceptionally well organised tournament. These boys have another final this evening so give them a like for good luck!

A huge congratulations to Teddy in Year 12 who completed a skydive today with family and friends to raise money for the Ellenor Hospice. Incredibly brave and a wonderful gesture to raise money for a charity which supports patients and families facing life changing illnesses. They've raised over £1400. Well done, Teddy!
