At OPGS, we hold firm on our responsibility to deliver a broad and balanced curriculum, an exceptional standard of teaching and learning and a wider range of extra-curricular opportunities. We have high standards of behaviour and our pupils are ‘polite and courteous,’ contributing significantly to our consistently positive learning environment.
It is a real honour to be the Headteacher of this magnificent school. I, and every staff member, have high aspirations for every young person that attends our school. These high expectations are demonstrated through a broad and challenging curriculum, exceptional standards in regards to behaviour and attitudes and a commitment to delivering a wide range of extra-curricular and enrichment experiences. We are well known for our outstanding level of pastoral support and care. Our young people are well supported with their personal development but also challenged academically so that they can achieve to the best of their ability. Our outcomes at GCSE and A Level are exceptional and allow OPGS students to acquire the qualifications and skills necessary to take the next steps in their own personal journey.
Please contact the school if you would like to visit us and see for yourself.

Wow! Congratulations to the Year 7 football team who have won the Kent Cup this evening in a thrilling game at the Gallagher Stadium. Never sensing defeat, two late but well earned goals brought this team across the finish line. That is three trophy wins in three weeks for OPGS. We are so proud of our teams and thankful to the amazing PE staff.

OPGS sixth form students enjoyed their trip to London today. They attended lectures on theology and philosophy. They particularly enjoyed the discussion on Marxist influences on liberation theology in Latin America. Thank you to the RS department for organising this out of school learning opportunity.
