At OPGS, we hold firm on our responsibility to deliver a broad and balanced curriculum, an exceptional standard of teaching and learning and a wider range of extra-curricular opportunities. We have high standards of behaviour and our pupils are ‘polite and courteous,’ contributing significantly to our consistently positive learning environment.
It is a real honour to be the Headteacher of this magnificent school. I, and every staff member, have high aspirations for every young person that attends our school. These high expectations are demonstrated through a broad and challenging curriculum, exceptional standards in regards to behaviour and attitudes and a commitment to delivering a wide range of extra-curricular and enrichment experiences. We are well known for our outstanding level of pastoral support and care. Our young people are well supported with their personal development but also challenged academically so that they can achieve to the best of their ability. Our outcomes at GCSE and A Level are exceptional and allow OPGS students to acquire the qualifications and skills necessary to take the next steps in their own personal journey.
Please contact the school if you would like to visit us and see for yourself.

Congratulations to the OPGS table tennis squad for a brilliant performance in the Kent Schools Table Tennis Championship securing two semi-final and four quarter-final places. Special mention to Jacob P who narrowly missed out getting to the final following a tense match with a British top 20 competitor.

Thank you to Morgan T for sharing details of his tractor renovation with us. He now features in a published article in Classic Motors as the readers rebuild, where he details the painstaking and intricate process of rebuilding a very rare machine. We love that he is so passionate about his interests and puts so much effort into them whilst maintaining his wonderful work ethic in school.
